Browser Bookmarks
Bookmarks = mark/remember were a particular web-page is and you
only have to click on a Bookmark listed under the "Bookmarks" menu
to return to this page.
To create a Bookmark
- Go to web-page you wish to bookmark.
- Select "Bookmarks->Add Bookmark"
- It will now appear at the bottom of your list of bookmarks
To remove a Bookmark
This can varry from browser to browser. The general idea is:
- Select "Bookmarks->Go to Bookmarks" (or possibly "Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks")
- Select Bookmark want to delet in editing window that poped up
- Select "Edit->Delete" (or on Mac select "Edit->Cut")
- Now bookmark will be removed.
To organize your Bookmarks
This can varry from browser to browser. However, usually
you can create folders of bookmarks. Thus, you might
have a folder of all your surfing web-pages, another folder
of car racing webpages, etc. The general idea is:
- Select "Bookmarks->Go to Bookmarks" (or possibly "Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks")
- Select "Item->Insert Folder" or possibly "File->New Folder"
To save your Bookmarks as list of links on an HTML file
This can varry from browser to browser. The idea is
to save all of your current bookmarks to an HTML page on your
machine (or diskette) where each bookmark becomes an HTML hyper-text
link in the page.
The general idea is:
- Select "Bookmarks->Go to Bookmarks" (or "Bookmarks->Edit Bookmarks")
- Select "File->SaveAs" and name it as an HTML file.
To view this html file you view it as you would any html file on your machine:
- From Netscape main menu Select "File->Open File" (or "File->Open File in Browser")
- Select html file on your machine you wish to view
