Lab 2: (static) Artwork
Point 30
start Jan 22
due Jan 30 , 11pm
Objectives: Create the static Artwork needed for your website you setup the design for in Lab 1.
Definition of Problem:
You are going to create teh following static artwork for your website. You can use GIMP, or if you have trial version of Adobe Photoshop to create these items. There are also a slew of online services that can help you interactively create your own logo ---you are free to use them. However, you can not simply copy someone elses logo ---you must use some kind of tool to create your own. That being said, following US copyright laws, if you alter content enough (think of sampling like in music) you can utilize other content to "piece" together something new.
Now, it may be that your design from Lab 1 does not have the following artwork but, you need to modify it if it does not to include it.
Minimum Static Artwork
- - you should have two versions of this --one that fits in with the size you have designed on Lab1's design sheets. Another size, should be of a small size at 50x50 or if rectangular 50x100,etc...keep your aspect ration ...that can be used almost like a stamp ---see the facebook and twitter logos here: THIS WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL
- -
here you need either images of people doing things related to your website (you can create this by modifying others work).
- - here you need some kind of advertisment that features items/services related to your "informational website of lab 1". (you can create this by modifying others work).
- - here you are to take a nice picture of yourself and format it and size it appropriately and put it on the Contact page.THIS WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL
- - here you are to use your imagination to create an image that somehow represents the organization-- if doing a counseling page you might have a series of logos of the counseling authorities that support you or ..... (The concept should be original but, you can create this by modifying others work....like in the example grabbing logos of different agencies and piecing them together).
