The course will cover Chapters 1-5, and Chapter 10.1 - 10.3 and 10.9. There will be homework assigned, usually due at the beginning of the class each monday. Late homework will not be accepted. The homework will not be graded. There will be two midterms and one final exam. You will need a scientific calculator for the class, (e.g. the Texas Instruments TI-83 plus.)

Exams:

• Midterm 1 February 2, Wednesday
• Midterm 2 February 23, Wednesday
• Final March 16, Wednesday 2:00 - 3:50 pm

Grading:

• Homework 10% , Midterm 1 30%, Midterm 2 30%, Final 30% .

There will be no makeup for the midterms. The final is comprehensive. If your grade on the final is larger than the smaller of your midterm grades, the smaller of the midterm grades will be automatically raised to the grade on the final.
