FOLLOWING IS JUST GUIDELINES PLS FEEL FREE TO USE ANY PGP

INSTALLATION OF PGP

1. Navigate to http://www.gpg4win.org/ , it supports windows 7 and 8.

2. Download Gpg4win and install it.

3. Step-by step process of installation is given in the documentation with screenshots, follow the link http://www.gpg4win.org/documentation.html

4. You have to install PGP plugins for Outlook as well and Thunderbird. For Outlook GpgOL is the extension and for Thunderbird Enigmail is the extension. Follow the link http://www.gpg4win.org/doc/en/gpg4win-compendium_33.html for Outlook and https://www.enigmail.net/download/download-static.php for Thunderbird.

5. Restart your computer after installation.

PGP KEY GENERATION

1. Launch Outlook or Outlook Express

2. Click PGP , Launch PGPkeys

3. On the menu bar, click Keys, New Key

4. Click Next to start the PGP Key Generation Wizard

5. Enter your full name and e-mail address

6. Click Next

7. Enter a passphrase.

8. Click Next. The key will be generated

9. Click Next, then Finish

10. Close the PGPkeys window and do not save a backup

PGP CONFIGURATION

1. Log in as administrator. If necessary, click Cancel in the Key Generation Wizard window.

2. Launch Outlook or Outlook Express

3. On the menu bar, Click PGP, Options

4. If necessary, click the E-mail Tab

5. Check the boxes Encrypt new messages by default and Sign new messages by default

6. Click OK

7. Send a new message by clicking the Send Mail button

8. Enter this e-mail address mathcsgrader@gmail.com in the Address box

9. Enter "CS6525LAB assignment #2 PGP Messages (YOUR NAME)" for the subject

10. Click Send Message button, and you will be prompted to enter your Passphrase

11. Enter your Passphrase

12. Click OK. The Message will be sent

EXPORTING and IMPORTING PGP PUBLICKEYs

1. Launch Outlook or Outlook Express

2. Click PGP, Launch PGPkeys

3. On the menu bar click Keys, Export...... DO NOT SELECT Include Private Keys

4. Click Save to save the file

5. Send an e-mail to your e-mail partner with your key attached. DO NOT ENCRYPT THE ATTACHED KEY FILE

6. You will see a message from your e-mail Client. Click Yes to the message and enter your passphrase, and then click OK

7. Once you receive the message from your partner, open the file to import the key

8. Click the Import button in the select keys window. You now have your partner's public key

UPLOADING PGP KEYS to PGP KEY SERVER

1. create your public key, save it with <your_name>.asc

2. go to : keyserver.pgp.com ( https://keyserver2.pgp.com/vkd/GetWelcomeScreen.event)

3. upload your <your_name>.asc

4. this process will take at most after 30 minutes (so please upload it right away).

5. Check if you can search for your key, then email mathcsgrader@gmail.com
