Smart Card
- Typically, have a physical computer chip embedded in a card.
- Stores information about you and what the smart card is going to be used for (kind of transaction...maybe address and credit card....maybe health information, etc).
- Hence used with physical devices, pay phones, airport, banking machines, etc
- Conact & Contactless smart cards....some you have to run through a reader...others transmit wirelessly the information.
- Typically require a password...so that you give consent for card to be "read".
- Could be used for Internet transactions at physcial kiosks, or????
