General PreferencesEach browser has option settings where you can set some general preferences to customize your browser. We will discuss some of the common settings found. To edit to your Browser's preferences see help for your browser. Here are some common ways to access the preferences (but, this may be different for your Browser or the version of it you have)
AppearanceThis is one part of the settings where you can influence how the following appear:
FontsDetermines standard font you view see.ColorsCan change:
ImagesCan change if will try to view images as loading the webpage, etc.AppsThis signifies some special applications you may use, will discuss later.HelpersThere are many kinds of images, video, graphics, audio file formats and your browser (any browser) can not play all of them. Thus, you may need other software on your computer to be able to view them. This is where you can tell your browser what peice of software (what helper application) to use when it can not view a particular piece of data. We will play with this more later.LanguageThis is where you can choose your default language. |
